JOB TITLE: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

SALARY: 4500 AED
REPORT TO: FINANCE MANAGER / HEAD OF FINANCE
WORKING HOURS: 48 HOURS/ 6 DAYS A WEEK
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Accountant will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and timely reporting. This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial statements, handling audits, and supporting budgeting processes. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure strong financial controls and smooth operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
➤ Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
➤ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
➤ Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and UAE regulations.
➤ Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
➤ Handle VAT calculations, filings, and compliance requirements.
➤ Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
➤ Maintain and update financial records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
➤ Review and approve journal entries, payment vouchers, and expense reports.
➤ Support cash flow management and prepare financial reports for management review.
➤ Implement and improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Specific Knowledge:
Accounting standards, financial reporting, VAT regulations, internal controls, and audit procedures.
- Skills:
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, advanced Excel skills, financial reporting, and problem-solving ability.
- Abilities:
Ability to handle deadlines, multitask, and manage high volumes of financial data with attention to detail.
- Other Characteristics:
Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Experience:
3–6 years of proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior-level role.
- Certifications (Optional Advantage):
CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
